Tim Floyd founded Swim Easy Speed in December 2020 to help competitive swimmers and triathletes to swim faster and more efficiently. Powered by Endless Pool, Tim is able to help athletes in a one on one setting improve their swim stroke technique. Tim brings almost 30 years of coaching experience with a proven track record of success with competitive swimmers and triathletes.

Tim began his competitive swim career in Southern California almost 40 years ago at the age of 7. He worked hard and was fortunate to have swum for some of the best developmental coaches in the United States in California and then on the Texas State high school championship team and finally a top ranked Division I college swim program in Texas. Tim was also competitive in triathlon completing his first half-distance race at the age of 15. Tim began his coaching career at 19 and regularly coached USA Swimming and US Masters Swimming athletes, high school swimmers and age group and professional triathletes.

Tim has coached athletes (one Age Grouper and one Professional) to First Out of The Water (FOTW) at the Ironman World Championships. Multiple Firsts Out of The Water with Age Group and Professional triathletes at Ironman events. He has worked with marathon and ultra-marathon swimmers to successfully complete some of the major marathon and ultra-marathon swims in the US including two of the three legs of the Triple Crown. Other events have included the Boston Lighthouse Swim, multiple stages of 8 Bridges, SCAR, END-Wet, Tampa Bay Marathon Swim, Portland Bridge Swim, Horsetooth 10k, Great Salt Lake 10k, Swim Around Key West, Trans-Tahoe Swim (solo), Three Rivers Marathon Swim, La Jolla Roughwater and Waikiki Rough Water.

Easy Speed is Tim’s coaching philosophy developed over the last 30 years working with a wide range of athletes from competitive swimmers to age group and professional triathletes and ultra-marathon runners.
